The SEVED Business Care Sweden organization is run by its associates on a client driven basis. The SEVED associates have a long experience in their different areas and they are all very competent in conducting business on a global level. The main business areas are construction and building industry, healthcare industry, solar energy and gas and energy industry. All projects are run on strict consultancy base. This presentation is focused towards the Global marketplace.
Prefabricated houses – steel and concrete elements
This line of business is focused on technology for setting up apartment buildings, industrial buildings and other buildings for specialized needs, e.g. power and energy industry, using in-door produced prefabricated elements. This system is extremely cost efficient and its lead time is considerably lower than building in a traditional way, e.g. an apartment building, approximately 25.000 square meters, less then 1 year. Normally between 6 to 12 month. The construction system for building in this manor contains prefabricated steel and concrete elements including facade elements as well as elevator shafts and staircases. The whole system is based on lean production “just in time“. SEVED works closely with the Swedish Precast Concrete Federation ( Byggvaruindustrin ).
Prefabricated houses – all wood
This line of business is focused on technology and know-how regarding apartment buildings all made of wood. Since wood is the only renewable building material and one of Sweden’s natural resources the Swedish Government - The Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications – has formed a committee looking into new ways of using this recourse. The expertise and know-how in this area is considerable. SEVED is undergoing negotiations with the president of this committee to find new ways for the export market for this technology and know-how. The committee together with the specific Ministry and The Swedish Trade Council and the Swedish industry are all interested in transferring this technology and know-how and are also funding strategic export marketing projects within this area. According to the huge amount of wood in Sweden this is an extremely cost efficient way of building houses. In Sweden the cost ratio, compared to concrete, is 1:3 or better. The building system is similar to the prefabricated houses made of concrete elements. The elements are produced in-door and assembled on the construction site using a special climate-proof “in-door“ technology. The whole system is based on lean production “just in time“.
